First words

Hello and welcome to my blog! I will discuss about raiding in WoW, mainly from a raid leader point of view. This can range from simple boss guides to guild management issues, and I will try to cover as many topics as possible.

For a first post, I thought I`d write a short bit about my history with WoW. I started playing in early 2007, and a friend got me into Prophecy around the summer. Yup, Prophecy was my first and only guild! As such, most of my history is strongly related to Prophecy history. I quickly got into raiding, and after roughly half an year they made me raid leader.
Our realm is pretty weak, being a small RP realm, so raid progress was really bad at that point, especially on horde side. While the world top guilds were struggling in Sunwell, we were barely setting foot in Hyjal and Black Temple. We were motivated to get better, and throughout the tier we kept on advancing, eventually securing a realm #2 position around Ulduar release (world rank was still around 2000 at that point).
We continued our ascension by focusing on Ulduar hard-modes instead of the dreadful Trial of the Crusader heroic. Our hard work has payed off when we managed to achieve Death`s Demise realm first, despite being the underdog in the race. Shortly after, Icecrown was released, and with the huge morale boost we had from Death`s Demise, we managed to establish a realm first position, and kept it until halfway through the heroic modes. Heroic Lich King was a hard brick wall for us, and we decided to stop working on it until 4.0, and scored a kill shortly after the patch.
In Cataclysm, we had a pretty good progression, mainly averaging around world 400 and world 600 rank, and we are currently working on Sinestra.
This is just a quick summary; I will post something more of a "story" about our raiding history, the challenges we faced, the funny moments, the hard periods, and so on.

As for myself, as a player, I always tried to do some interesting things. Even though I can`t compare with the more famous people out there, I can pride myself with tanking Gruul, Hydross and whole Karazhan (just offtank) as a rogue, at level 70 and solo-ing Ley Guardian Eregos on heroic mode at level 80 in early January. Flame Leviathan is somewhere on the list, as well as some other bosses I did on my death knight alt.

I think this wraps up this first post, so see you next time!
